Most bonus pages lead with the biggest number they can find. This one leads with the smallest: 1x. That was the wagering requirement on the Housebets On-Chain Bonus, and it’s the reason Wave 2 — officially confirmed for August 2026 via the @housebets X account, exact date TBA — deserves an EV analysis rather than a hype post.

With Wave 1 wrapped up as of July 23, 2026, here’s what the structure looked like, what it was mathematically worth, and where Wave 2 could differ.

Why 1x Was Player-Favorable

Expected clearing cost = required turnover × house edge. At 1x, required turnover equals the bonus itself.

Take a $1,000 bonus and clear it in slots at the 4% average edge Housebets’ own partner FAQ uses as its reference number: expected cost ≈ $40, leaving ≈ $960 of expected value before variance. Now price a conventional industry package at 35x for contrast: $35,000 of required turnover at that same 4% costs ≈ $1,400 in expectation — more than the bonus grants. That structural contrast, not any individual payout screenshot, is why Wave 1 was player-favorable.

The disclaimers do real work here: variance dominates any single session, reported sizes varied enormously, and expectation is never a promise of outcome.

The Contribution Lever

The one reported complication: community members say low-risk instant-game bets — Limbo at conservative multipliers, for instance — counted at roughly 25% toward wagering in Wave 1 [needs verification]. No official contribution table has been published [needs verification].

Effect on the math: a 25% weight multiplies effective turnover by four. The $1,000 clear via low-risk Limbo becomes $4,000 of bets — still cheap at a 1x baseline, but four times the expected cost and four times the time. The optimization question isn’t “can I clear it” (at 1x, almost certainly) but “in which game does my contribution-adjusted clearing cost bottom out.”

Which Levers Wave 2 Could Pull

“Major improvements” is doing a lot of unspecified work in that announcement. Operators tuning a giveaway reach for a familiar set of dials — watch these:

  • Contribution rates — formalizing (or deepening) the discount on low-variance play
  • Size caps and decay — Wave 1 amounts reportedly ranged from ~$30–45 up to $15,000, shrank through the day, and favored early claimants
  • Qualifying thresholds — how much historical volume unlocks how much bonus
  • Scan coverage — TRC-20 addresses reportedly scanned with errors in Wave 1; a fix would widen eligibility
  • Bolt-on incentives — the reported +$1,000 for an X post may or may not return

None of these are announced. All of them are cheap for an operator to change between waves — which is exactly why nobody should treat Wave 1’s reported generosity as a floor for Wave 2.

Preparing Rationally

  1. Register before the drop — queue positions from Wave 1 carry over, per support.
  2. Audit your wallets: only non-custodial addresses qualify (Trust Wallet class). Exchange addresses (Bybit) and custodial services (CryptoBot) fail the scan.
  3. Map which of those wallets actually deposited to crypto casinos (Stake, Shuffle, BC.Game and similar) — that history is the sizing input.
  4. Park about 1 USDT of reachable balance per wallet for the ownership proofs.
  5. Follow @housebets on X; the date lands there first.

The scan itself is read-only against public chain data — no wallet connection, no signatures, no spend access. The 1 USDT deposit is the only on-chain action you take.

Unknowns Worth Respecting

Wave 2’s terms, sizes and date are all unconfirmed. Housebets in its current form is a beta running since July 2026 with a short payment history — early reports of fast withdrawals are encouraging, not conclusive. The room is also unavailable in 23 jurisdictions, including the US, UK, France, Italy, Czechia and the Netherlands.

The rational position: a 1x, volume-scaled bonus is worth preparing for precisely because preparation costs nothing beyond a registration and a wallet inventory. Everything past that, let August prove.
